This week’s view is looking north from State Street at Oak in O’Fallon, ca. 1910. On the left is the Tiedemann General Store which, at one time, was the largest retail store in town. Note the hitching posts along the building. On the right is Wachter’s Hall which, in the early days, served as a theater where you could see plays and silent movies. Both buildings are still there.
