The O’Fallon Township High School Boys Bowling team is off to an impressive start to their 2017-18 season.
O’Fallon is 1-0 in the conference season after a win over rival Belleville East to go along with a pair of tournament wins at the Zach LeCuyer Memorial Invitational and the Plainfield North Invitational on back to back weekends.
One major reason for the Panthers’ success in the early season has been the play of anchor bowler Eli Rosenberg.
Rosenberg, a righty, holds down the #5 spot in an O’Fallon lineup that is fully expected to be making its ninth consecutive trip to the State Finals this winter.
His biggest marks so far have been his contributions of late, lifting the Panthers to a pair of impressive showings against the Lancers and at Plainfield North.
Against Belleville East, Rosenberg shot a 666 series, rolling a 199 in game one followed by a pair of 236’s to close out the match. He grabbed match up points in games two and three while tossing the best O’Fallon series of the day.
