SHILOH – Elizabeth Meyers is the mother of nine children; four boys, four girls, and one angel. At a little more than four months pregnant, Elizabeth suffered what the medical community calls a miscarriage. Elizabeth, however, remembers being four months pregnant and experiencing the death of a child, a sweet little boy that she held in the palm of her hand before he was quickly taken from her by the doctors at the hospital. She never saw him again.
“I didn’t get a death certificate or a body to bury. The hospital didn’t consider my miscarried child’s body as one that was deserving of a funeral. I had nothing to grieve over and I was desperate for closure, but I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere.”
