Officer Cody Johnson graduates Police Academy, joins OPD as 50th officer

A graduation ceremony for Session 137 of the Southwestern Illinois Police Academy was recently held on Friday, February 8.

The O’Fallon Police Department was on hand to welcome their newest officer, Cody Johnson. Cody will hit the road for 14 weeks of field training beginning this week. Johnson is the department’s 50th officer.

The O’Fallon Police Department would also like to congratulate Rebecca Hudson who joins the Collinsville Police Department. Prior to being hired by Collinsville, Rebecca served with OPD as a telecommunicator.

O’Fallon also would like to congratulate Shane Mason who will join the SIU Edwardsville Police Department. Shane served as an O’Fallon Community Service Officer prior to being hired by SIUE.
