SPRINGFIELD — A downstate judge on Friday denied the attorney general office’s request to move to Sangamon County a Republican representative’s lawsuit challenging Gov. JB Pritzker’s authority to issue successive disaster proclamations.
The O’Fallon Public Library board held a virtual meeting where they discussed how to safely reopen the library. The library has been closed since March 17, after guidance from the CDC and Illinois Library Association(ILA), to keep patrons and staff members safe. The library hopes to reopen by June 7.
“Overall, the positivity rate can be an indication of how widespread COVID-19 infections are among our population,” Pritzker said. “We all want the positivity rate to come down, which would indicate a declining number of people getting sick from the virus. The great news is that the positivity rate in Illinois is coming down.”
Brooke Thomas, an OTHS senior, has been playing lacrosse for nearly a decade, including all four years at OTHS. She’s heading into the military after graduation, and will look back on being a Panther proudly.
Natalie Heltne has been bowling since sixth grade, and has been a part of the OTHS Varsity Girls Bowling team for four years. She was part of the IHSA State Championship bowling team in 2019, and has bowled sanctioned 300 games.
