3rd Grade Junior Panther split week of play at Collinsville Tournament

The third grade Junior Panthers basketball team split their week at the Collinsville Tournament, winning two games and losing two as well.

On Friday, November 30, the team, coached by Jaycee Greene, took on the Collinsville Kahoks. Cash Steen tied the game 16-16 to send it into overtime, where the Junior Panthers would come out on top. O’Fallon defeated Collinsville 22-16.

However, the team was less fortunate against the Metro East Heat on December 1, where they would fall 19-8.

The Junior Panthers had a tough game against Big Time Jacksonville on December 2, falling 28-4.

By game four, the team was ready to rally and won 18-16 in overtime. Liam Mueth tied the game 16-16 to send the game into extra time, and Ryder Burgmeier scored the game winning basket.

The team’s next game is at Silver Creek Elementary in Troy on Saturday, December 8, at 11 a.m. against Father McGivney Knights Blue and at noon against Father McGivney Knights Gold.
