O’Fallon – There will be a lot of beautiful things to observe in the sky, during the month of April. The O’Fallon Public Library is hosting a Star Viewing Party and is partnering with the St. Louis Astronomical Society. The event will start in the Library’s Community Room, where community members will learn how to unpack and use a telescope. They will then be shown how the telescope works and how to find different objects in the night sky. With the weather permitting, the event will then move out to the library’s lawn to use the telescope.
“With summer coming up, we anticipate this being a fun family activity and the telescopes to be heavily requested,” Jessi Baker, Program and Social Media Coordinator, said.
Come out to the O’Fallon Public Library on April 11th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and use the Library’s new telescope. After the Star Viewing Party, the telescope will then become available to the community.
