A Note from the Superintendent’s Desk – Inclement Weather and Your Schools

The winter season is upon us. Our schools understand that our decision to open or close schools in bad weather has a great effect on families. We also understand that our students are better served both academically and socially by being in school. But as always, our top priority is the safety of our students at Shiloh Village School District #85 and O’Fallon Schools.

OTHS, Shiloh’s high school district, recently sent information out to parents in our community regarding inclement weather and school closings.  I thought I might use this forum, given the recent weather, to share how some of those decisions are made by Shiloh and O’Fallon Schools. However, we are hoping that Old Man Winter will go easy on us this season.
