This week’s view is of the original headquarters building at Scott Field, today’s Scott Air Force Base, as it appeared in 1918, during World War I, when it was an Army aviation field. To the right are the legs and pipe of the water tower. The building was constructed during the summer of 1917. Scott AFB is celebrating its centennial this year.
