On the third defensive series of the 2016 season, DeWayne Hendrix knew something was wrong.
He was lying on the turf in pain and he would not return at any point the rest of the season.
This year, the former four-star recruit will be looking to avenge the lost playing time with the fierce play that made him one of the nation’s most coveted defensive recruits just a few years ago.
Hendrix injured his foot during Pitt’s season opening win over the Villanova Wildcats and was lost for the season, but the junior’s return figures to bolster what should be a strong Panther defensive front.
