Athlete Spotlight – Jones finishes first pro season

Anyone familiar with the O’Fallon Township High School Boys Basketball Program is familiar with the name Roosevelt Jones.

The 2011 OTHS grad is widely considered to be the greatest to ever wear the Blue and Gold, featuring a unique skill set that made him almost impossible to guard at the high school level. In fact, one of the few to outplay him during his time at the Panther Dome now makes millions of dollars a year as the starting shooting guard for the Washington Wizards in the NBA.

While he’s no Bradley Beal, Jones made a name for himself within the IHSA ranks before falling his senior year to a Chicago Simeon team that featured former Duke University standout and current Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker in the State Tournament.
