Audrey June Sudholt, nee Greaney, age 85, formerly of Shiloh, Ill., passed away Friday morning, August 19, 2016 at St. Paul’s Home, Belleville, Ill.
Audrey attended St Mary grade school in Belleville and was a long-time parishioner at St. Teresa Catholic Church, where she was the former president of the Perpetual Help Society and enjoyed quilting. As a young woman she worked as a telephone operator where she made good and lasting friendships. She moved to Shiloh about 15 years ago and joined Corpus Christi parish. She enjoyed ceramics and had a keen artistic ability.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Sudholt in 1984; her parents Charles and Iva, nee Klingenfus, Greaney; brother Wilbur “Red” Greaney, sister Avis Daubach, and dear friends Dottie Mueller and Marlene Thomas.
Surviving are her children Thomas P. Sudholt of Missouri; Ellen (James) Vernier of Shiloh, Ill., and Judith (Mohammad Razavi) Sudholt of Frankfort, Ky.; grandchildren Kate and Olivia Sudholt, Andrea and Amanda Vernier, and Ana Razavi; her great-granddaughter Lucy; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew Carl Daubach.
Memorial donations are suggested to American Heart Association or your local Humane Society.
Private services will be held for the family. Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O’Fallon, Illinois.
