“We had a great day against many good track programs. With our schedule it is always difficult to win track meets, so it was really nice to come away with a victory. Our athletes showed a tremendous amount of poise and determination. We knew going in to the last two events that we were behind by a couple of points to Edwardsville. The 4×400 was able to shut the door and seal the victory for us by placing first. We have a young team and that effort and performance is key to them learning how to compete at the level we need from them,” said Coach Joe Speaks.
