It was the battle of the sexes last Saturday when the boys and girls Panther lacrosse teams faced off against each other in the annual boys versus girls charity event.
The game, a true one of its kind, has taken place for several years and after being missed last year, was gladly welcomed back this season. Created by a former O’Fallon alumni, Brynn Laverdure, all of the game’s ticket money is donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
During the game all of the boys wear pink shirts while girls wear blue and both teams swap gear.
“It’s a good time and it’s for a good cause,” said girls head coach Rob Garrison. “The kids go out, goof around and have fun. Parents and students come to watch and it’s all for a good cause. We hope to do it as long as we can.”
