A group of local citizens will host the Fifth Annual Free Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 at the Faith Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. The Hall is in the rear of the Church located at 520 East Highway 50 in O’Fallon, IL. The Thanksgiving Feast committee will be serving from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

The Thanksgiving Day Dinner is being co-supported by the City of O’Fallon, O’Fallon Township and the Village of Shiloh. It is open to all residents of Shiloh, O’Fallon, Scoti Air Force Base and surrounding areas.

According to Chair Linda Benedick, for the last several years, the Committee has been overwhelmed by the suppo1i and generosity of local businesses, local churches and local political subdivisions. “We were just amazed at the monetary and food donation support and were overwhelmed with the volunteers that sign up to help”, she said recently. “But the joy was in the people that showed up, older residents who didn’t want to cook for one or two, families that had loved ones deployed and no local relatives, small families that didn’t want to do a lot of cooking for a few people. They were all smiles and very appreciative!”

As always, volunteers are pre-registered in advance and slotted for more efficient utilization. And again this year, all leftover food and cash donations will be given to the O’Fallon Food Pantry.
