Council debates future of city’s economic development services

O’FALLON – Debate over a new contract for the City’s economic development marketing services took up the majority of the time at Monday evening’s City Council meeting.

Last July, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for economic development marketing and business attraction services. The services requested are specifically related to the city’s current economic development website and marketing practices. The St. Louis-based branding and marketing firm, Atomicdust, was selected out of multiple, submitted proposals by City staff and presented to council for approval. At last week’s Community Development Committee meeting, City staff explained the process they went through to narrow the submitted proposals to the final three, ultimately choosing Atomicdust.
