Cundiff and Johnson named to Memorial East Board of Directors

SHILOH – Gregory Cundiff and Kenneth Johnson, both of O’Fallon have been named to serve on the Board of Directors for Memorial Hospital East.

“We are extremely happy these two community leaders have agreed to serve on this board,” said Mark J. Turner, Memorial’s president.

Memorial Hospital East, is a 94-bed all private room full service hospital which opened April 12 in Shiloh.  The facility features a Family Care Birthing Center, Emergency Department, intensive care unit, surgical suites and an array of diagnostic services including imaging and cardiac catheterization.

Cundiff is president of Ironhorse Resources in O’Fallon.  He served as president of the O’Fallon Township High School Board for 14 years and as president of the Bradley University Parent’s Board for six years.

A financial advisor with New York Life Insurance Company, Johnson serves as treasurer for Friends of Clayborne and is a vision board member for the New Life In Christ Interdenominational Church.  He also serves as a board member for New York Life – St. Louis Board of Directors and as a board member for the New York Life – African American Market.

  • Kevin Baumer, M.D. of Belleville, an orthopedic surgeon with Memorial Medical Group.
  • Keith Cook of Mascoutah, community bank president with Regions Bank.  Cook also serves as chairman of the Memorial Hospital East board of directors.
  • James Dennis, Ph.D. of Lebanon, president of McKendree University.
  • Douglas Distler of O’Fallon, retired from First Bank.
  • Chris Eckert of Belleville, president of Eckert’s Country Store and Farms.
  • Thomas Holloway of Edwardsville, retired from TheBANK of Edwardsville.
  • Leslie Mehrtens of Millstadt, retired from First National Bank of Waterloo and Regions.
  • Hans Moosa, M.D. of Belleville, a vascular surgeon with Memorial Medical Group.
  • Pastor Douglas Munton of Belleville, senior pastor at First Baptist Church of O’Fallon.
  • Ray Rohr of O’Fallon, community outreach coordinator for Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis.
  • Kurt Schroeder of Shiloh, an attorney with Greensfelder, Hemker and Gale
  • Valerie Thaxton, Ph.D. of Shiloh, retired vice president of community services and campus operations at Southwestern Illinois College currently serving as director of Running Start at SWIC.
