Girl Scout Troop 637 collecting donations for Ronald McDonald House

The members of Girl Scout Troop #637 at Marie Schaefer have been working on their Bronze Award. The girls picked to work with Ronald McDonald houses in St. Louis.  On February 16 the girls toured the Mercy Hospital Ronald McDonald house. The Ronald McDonald House provides lodging for 60 families dealing with health crises who live more than 50 miles from their supporting hospital at Children’s, Cardinal Glennon, or Mercy hospitals. They also support four Ronald McDonald Family Rooms which welcome over 12,000 families per year. If your child visits an emergency room, the family rooms are available with snacks, laundry and shower facilities, and family-friendly areas to wait during an injury or illness.

While visiting, the girls got to meet some of the families staying there and decided to help by getting donationsĀ of supplies. If you would like to donate, simply visit
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/19CQK3S94AE4R?ref_=wl_share and purchase your items. They will ship directly to the troop. Additionally, the girls are collecting like-item donations at the school if you would prefer to donate that way. All donations are due by April 6.
