The O’Fallon Girls Golf team is headed to the state tournament for the third straight year.
On Monday, the Lady Panthers competed in the Sectional at Panther Creek and won the championship by 13 strokes.
“The sectional was another instance where we displayed the amount of depth we have. The girls knew it was realistic to go in and win,” said Head Coach Chris Eddy.
The ladies knew they had huge targets on their back, but they answered the bell.
When asked about how difficult it’s going to be to lose these seniors, Eddy said, “It’s going to be terrible to lose these girls. I’ve known most of them for three to four years. We usually have a normal rotation, but the last two years it has been those seniors. Next year we are going to have to reload, but we have some talent that I’m excited about.”
