Sometimes teams get hot at just the right time. Unfortunately during this blistering southern Illinois summer, the weather got hot at just the wrong time for the O’Fallon High School Summer Lacrosse Team.

Extreme heat and humidity forced the cancellation of the team’s final game of the season this past Wednesday evening, ending their year a game earlier than scheduled.

The game will not be made up at a later date.

The 2017 campaign was a roaring success for O’Fallon, who won all of their regular season contests before reaching the Final Four at this year’s Route 66 Lacrosse Classic in Chesterfield just a couple of weeks ago.
