Thirty-four of the area’s best youth golfers descended on Shiloh’s Yorktown Golf Course on June 30, golfing in memory of the late Jody Trover.

Joseph “Jody” Trover Sr., of Belleville, began his love of golf at the age of 13 when he started working as a caddy at St. Louis Country Club. Trover passed away in April of 2010, and the tournament serves to preserve his memory through his lifelong love of golf.

Trover is perhaps best known for starting the packaged sandwich company Landshire, whose products are sold at over 9,000 stores nationwide.

The 34 golfers competed across five different divisions.
