Kenneth L. “Slim” McDill
December 4, 1926 – June 4, 2017
Ken worked as a Machinist for Terminal Railroad for 43 years and was a United States World War II Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hisaye “Helen” McDill; parents, Thomas and Ellen, nee Stucker, McDill; brothers, David McDill, George McDill, Gene McDill, and Archie McDill; and sister, Betty Cochran.
Surviving are his children, Robert (Barbara) McDill, Helen (Karl) Gardels, Jane McDill, Lois (Ric) Hunsaker, Phyllis McDill, and Patrick (Louise) McDill; brothers, Charles (Linda) McDill, and John (Anna) McDill; grandchildren, Brett (Pam) McDill, Bradley (Cari) McDill, Emily (Nick) Maurer, Lauren (T. Garcia) Gardels, Alex Gardels, Alexis Forman, Henry Hunsaker, Claudia Hunsaker, Patrick McDill, Jameson McDill, Ava McDill, Kirsten McDill, and Colin McDill; great-grandchildren, Kayla Arpin, Gavin McDill, Joey McDill, and Justin McDill; sister-in-law, Esther McDill; special friends, Chianchit “Tuk” Trukositz, Joe Javorchik, and Paul Fortman; and numerous nieces and nephews

Visitation was held from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Fielding Poe officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
