All good things must come to an end, and unfortunately for the O’Fallon Township High School Lady Panther Tennis team, that end came on Tuesday at Belleville East.

The Lady Panthers came into the contest among the Southwestern Conference’s hottest teams across both match and tournament play, but the Lancers would find a way to slow the O’Fallon charge.

Maddie Buscher of the Lancers would top Ali Mueller in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, setting the stage for a run of difficult results.

Zoie Howard fell 7-6 in the first set after 8 draws, before losing the second set 7-5 in an emotional, competitive affair to Maddy Hamilton while JoJo Skaer topped Emiley Fritz 6-4, 6-4 in straight sets.
