We want to express our overwhelming gratitude to the entire O’Fallon community for the love that has been poured out on our family this holiday season. This past July, the brain cancer I [Craig] first had in 2010 called Medulloblastoma, reappeared. This time the tumor is down in my brain stem and therefore inoperable.
As you probably expect life changed immediately for me, my wife, and our six children. We had to cancel our first Disney vacation and life became a series of doctors visits, radiation, and chemotherapy sessions. I even temporarily lost the use of my left side and still use a wheelchair to get around when we are out. The holiday season got here before we knew it.
On top of the awesome support and help from our family, friends, and neighbors with meals and so many other things our adopted home of OFallon has blown us away with its generosity. From Hinchcliffe Elementary to the O’Fallon police and fire department we cannot say enough. There would not be enough room here for us to thank you all individually, but you know who you are. We are blessed to be in a town that rallies around families like ours when life hits hard. The very people we depend on to teach our kids, protect us when needed, and put their lives on the line everyday for us is going above and beyond to help us give our kids a Christmas to remember.
We hope and pray that God blesses each of you abundantly and you have blessed us.
