O’FALLON – The need to turn off the Library’s electricity for an undisclosed amount of time was a topic of discussion at the O’Fallon Public Library Board of Trustees monthly meeting on Monday night.
The construction at the O’Fallon Villas, next to the library, will require the power to be temporarily turned off for an undisclosed amount of time. Jeff Taylor, O’Fallon’s Director of Public Works, was still unsure of the length of time power would need to be cut, but he has told the Library Board that they will receive advanced notice before that step is taken.
Members of the Board discussed the need to deploy a generator to keep power in the building in the face of these temporary cuts. Nothing will be decided until it is determined when the power needs to be turned off.
