Linda Ann Haskins, age 67, of O’Fallon, born October 14, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York, passed away Saturday morning, January 28, 2017 at her home.

Linda had worked as a database administrator for DITCO at Scott AFB, Illinois. She was a former member of National Honor Society and a member of Mensa, and a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and had participated in a 60-mile walk to raise funds for breast cancer research. She loved being a grandmother and adored her grandchildren. Ever handy around the home, she even helped her son set up his Belleville business. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, and cooking. Linda’s generosity was evident in the way she lived her life, and also in the establishment of the Bill and Linda Haskins Graduate Teaching Communications Scholarship at Colorado State University and the Bill and Linda Haskins Communication Scholarship at McKendree University.

Preceding her in death were her parents Donato and Rose, nee Rocanelli, Rapone; and her brother Chris Rapone.

Surviving are her beloved husband Dr. William Haskins, of O’Fallon; son Billy (Stephanie Bedard, DVM) Haskins of O’Fallon; daughter Crista (Rod) Crawford of O’Fallon; grandchildren Madilyn and Sienna Haskins, and Mallory and Kelsey Stroud; and her sister Rosalie (Tony) Cestare.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O’Fallon, Illinois.

Funeral: A Memorial Service will begin at 11 am, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the funeral home, with Chaplain Jason Pierce officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:30 pm, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at O’Fallon City Cemetery, O’Fallon, Illinois.
