Local Girl Scouts robotics teams excel at regional event

Local Girl Scout Robotics teams were recently recognized for their outstanding performance during FIRST LEGO League regional competition held on December 15 at Mt. Zion Junior High School.

FLL is a robotics program for 9-14 year olds where teams design and program robots that are used to compete in a table game. Teams also conduct and present an elaborate research project, and evaluated on how well they demonstrate FLL core values of discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork, and fun.

Polytechnic Puzzle Pieces from O’Fallon qualified for the State Tournament to be held on January 26 at University of Illinois and won the Project Award.¬†
