Local Teen Spends Six Weeks in Israel

What do teenagers do when they feel stuck?  Some may sulk, others act out, take up a hobby, or find something new to inspire them.  For local teen Kamy Sanders, feeling stuck when it came to her religion was a struggle for her.

“I felt disconnected with Judaism and I was also interested in learning more about Israeli culture,” said Kamy.

Although she had been raised practicing Judaism, she started to feel disengaged and wanted to find a way to remind herself what she had always loved about her faith.  After doing some research, Kamy knew what she needed to do.  That was when she decided to spend six weeks in Israel.
