Belleville man charged with Shiloh Park shooting

SHILOH – A Belleville man has been arrested and charged with firing a semi-automatic pistol at Three Springs Park on Sunday.

On Sunday, August 5, 2018 around 8:22 p.m., the Shiloh Police Department received a report of shots fired at a large party at Three Springs Park located at 2250 Frank Scott Parkway. The suspect vehicle was reported to leave the area westbound on Frank Scott Parkway.  
Shiloh Officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Fortune Boulevard on Frank Scott Parkway.  A semi-automatic pistol was recovered from the vehicle, and the suspect was taken into custody. No one was injured during this incident.
On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Jason Emmanuel issued warrants #18CF012021 for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, a class 4 felony and #18CF0120202 for Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon by a person with no valid F.O.I.D. card, a class 4 felony, charging Brian W. Crawford Jr., 19, of the 1500 block of Foster Drive in Belleville with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Robert Haida and he set Crawford’s bond at $30,000. Crawford is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
All persons are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
