Metro-East Covid restrictions scaled back

BELLEVILLE – St. Clair County Emergency Management and the Illinois Department of Public Health are reporting that as of 5 p.m. on Friday, October 9, the additional Covid-19 mitigation measures put in place over the Metro-East are being lifted.

This means restaurants and bars will be able to allow indoor dining again. Additional changes are detailed in the information below.

The additional, more restrictive, measures were put in place after Covid-19 numbers rose after Region 4 had advanced to Phase 4 of the Governor’s re-opening plan. Region 4 includes the following counties; Bond, Clinton, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, St. Clair, and Washington.
