Metro East faces shutdown again Wednesday

Governor JB Pritzker plans to place increased mitigation procedures on the Metro East starting Wednesday, October 28.

O’FALLON – The Weekly has learned that Governor JB Pritzker has communicated with local government officials and indicated he plans to place increased covid mitigation procedures on the Metro East again starting Wednesday, October 28 at 12:01 a.m.

The State is saying that as a result of an increasing positivity rate beyond 8%. The following restrictions will be effective for at least 14 days.

Bars and Restaurants

• For Bars and Restaurants NO INDOOR Dining or Bar Service

• All Bars and Restaurants close at 11PM and Reopen no earlier than 6 AM the following day

• All Bars and Restaurants Patrons should be seated at tables outside

• Tables to be 6 feet apart

• No standing, dancing or congregating indoors or outdoors while waiting for a table

• No seating of Multiple Parties at one table

• Reservations required for each party

For Meetings, Social Events and Gatherings

• Limit to lesser of 25 guests or 25% of overall room capacity both indoors and outdoors

• No Party Busses

Gaming and Casinos

• Close at 11 PM

• Limit to 25% of Capacity and follow mitigation limits for bars and restaurants

Organized Group Recreational Activities

• No change

• All Sports Guidelines effective August 15, 2020 remain in effect

• Outdoor Activities (not included in the above exposure settings) continue per current DCEO guidance
