O’Fallon City Council addresses two plans for business growth

One plan would see a restaurant placed on Venita Drive near the firehouse, while the other expands the Outdoorsman Lounge

Mayor Herb Roach proclaimed December 18, 2017, as both O’Fallon Township High School Marching Panthers Band Day and O’Fallon Township High School Band Booster Day. The City Council addressed two plans related to economic development and business growth and expansion at their regular meeting Monday night.

The Council voted 12-2 in favor on first reading of an ordinance amending the Future Land Use Map to add a Neighborhood Commercial Overlay District to the intersection of Venita Drive and Taylor Road. There are currently six other districts in O’Fallon approved for neighborhood commercial use.
