O’FALLON – Two home matches provided a late-season edge-smoother for the O’Fallon Panthers boys volleyball team.

On Tuesday May 9, the Panthers hosted the East St. Louis Flyers in the Panther Dome. The match felt unusually subdued for a varsity game, with both teams working quietly on the court. East St. Louis found themselves outgunned early on in the first set, struggling to get a rally going. Senior Luke Meidel had several aces with his lethal jump serve, leaving the Flyers scrambling to get a pass up to start a point. Even a time out couldn’t cool Meidel’s topspin, which collected several more points before a side out.
