O’Fallon EMS and Santa bring Christmas to Elsa

Elsa 3 O’FALLON – The O’Fallon EMS and Santa Claus worked together to provide a wonderful Christmas to a sick little girl at Cardinal Glennon Hospital on Christmas Eve.

Elsa Wiemerslage, who is the daughter of O’Fallon EMS paramedic Kevin Wiemerslage, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid leukemia and is undergoing treatment. The O’Fallon EMS worked together with members of the community to full an ambulance with toys to deliver to Elsa and assist Kevin and his wife, Adrienne, with giving her a nice Christmas.

“Everyone at the City of O’Fallon EMS would like to extend a huge thank you for the support of the Fill the Ambulance Drive for Elsa Wiemerslage. The generosity was overwhelming and it made this Christmas a little brighter for this special family. Special thanks to AFSCME Local 2817, Metro East Paramedics Association and Santa Claus for their continued support. We want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday,“ said Jennifer Nungesser, who helped organize the toy drive.
