O’Fallon Girl Scout Wins Gold Award

Victoria Birchem is a freshman at Saint Louis University, studying accounting; a skill that she likely developed years ago, while managing the funds raised from her massive sales of Thin Mints and Samoa’s.  That’s right, Victoria is a Girl Scout, complete with a secret stash of sought-after cookies and the recipient of the most prominent award that a Girl Scout can receive. Born in New Jersey, Victoria moved here with her parents, Bryan and Mary, her two sisters Anne and Mary, and her brother Andrew, when she was two.  While Victoria’s siblings also participated in the Scout programs offered in the O’Fallon area, Victoria is the only family member to complete the full Scout program.
