stack-of-books-1001655 RESIZED   With school starting in a few short weeks the library is regrouping and will have limited children’s programs in August.  But there will be some programming in August:

Book Babies Wednesdays, 9:30 AM, for ages 0-18 months. Babies and a caregiver explore books, music, rhyme, and movement. Our age appropriate classes help develop a love of language and reading.

Toddler Tales Fridays, 9 AM and 10:30 AM, for ages 18-36 months. Children and their caregiver share music, movement, rhythm, rhyme, and of course…books!  There is time at the end for free play and group interaction.

Chess Club Third Wednesday, 4-5 PM, for 9 years old and up. Learn new chess moves and practice playing others at your skill level. This club is facilitated by Charlie Knoth, former State Chess Champion.

Fun & Furry Reading Club First Thursday, 4-6 PM, Second Tuesday, 4-5 PM, for all ages. Read to one of our furry friends!  Our therapy dogs love to listen to you read your favorite stories or just sit next to you and cuddle.

Lego Club Sunday, August 7, 2:30 PM, for all ages

We read a story and build with Legos.  Choose a design or build “free-style.”

Quadricorn Book Club Wednesday, August 24, 4:30 PM, for 9 years old and up. This month the selections are: Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library and Pegasus: The Flame of Olympus.

In September all the regular children’s programs will be back.

Don’t forget sign up for a Library card if you don’t have one or need to update yours before school starts.

The library is ready to help everyone succeed in this upcoming school year.  We have online resources covering elementary through college and touching on all subject areas.
