The Library also has lot of events going on this month! Learn about healthy eating, navigating Medicare and protecting yourself from scams. Our usual yoga classes, book clubs, other monthly events, and the many early literacy story times and events for children will be happening too. The Library has events going on for all ages so check out the calendar on the Library’s website. Another option is to sign up for the Library’s monthly newsletter that will arrive in your email and you can mark your calendar for any events you would like to attend.
Several day ago the Library held a Job Recruitment Drive in partnership with a local staffing agency. Over a dozen people attended, and three people will be starting work this week as a direct result of that event! We hold these Job Recruitment Drives roughly every-other-month. Keep an eye out on Facebook, Twitter, our website and newsletters for future announcements.
September 20th, between 4:00 and 6:00pm, we will be hosting a Library Happy Hour! This is not your usual happy hour but a fun way for adults and teachers to learn how to use all the Library’s databases and resources. There won’t be any margaritas but snacks from Chipotle and Chick-fil-a will be served while you learn invaluable skills to help children with homework assignments. You will also have a chance to win books and other prizes. Register for the event online at: http://ofpl.info/events/homework to help us plan how many staff to have on hand!
If you haven’t been by your library lately stop by to see all the resources we have to offer, and pick up a newsletter to find out about all the events and programs going on. Put that card to use and take advantage of all the great things happening at the O’Fallon Public Library!
