The O’Fallon Township High School Boys Bowling Team regular season has come to an end. The team clinched the Conference Title in their division with a record of 9-1. Regionals was supposed to be held this past Saturday but was rescheduled due to the snow. The new date is set for Tuesday, January 15th. As of publication the results of that tournament are unknown.
This past week the Panthers bowled their last two regular season matches. First, on Monday, January 7th the boys took on Alton at St. Clair Bowl. It proved to be an easy win for the Panthers. For the three games series O’Fallon won by 258 pins. Notable high scores for the match were Cameron Rachell with a 237, Ryan Komm with a 214, Donny Richards with a 213 and Josh Herran with scores of 247, 223 and 212 for an impressive 682 series.
The boys last match of the season was on Wednesday, January 9th against Collinsville at Camelot Bowl. Collinsville out-bowled them that day but spirits were still high. They knew they clinched their division heading into regionals. Notable high scores for the match were Donny Richards with a 257, Ryan Komm with a 227, Jordan Peacock with a 212 and Josh Herran with a 210.
With Regionals right around the corner the team is practicing hard and keeping their heads up high. Coach Mike Imes stated at the end of the week “The boys are looking forward to another state series. After winning the Conference Title and doing well in tournaments, I know the boys feel that they can make another run at a state title.”
Upcoming events for boys bowling are Sectionals at Bowl Haven Lanes in Alton on January 19th and State Finals on January 26th and 27th here at St. Clair Bowl. Please come out to support you O’Fallon High School Boys Bowling team!
