The OTHS Panther Beat broadcast crew and yearbook staff recently attended the Journalism Education Association / National Scholastic Press Association’s national journalism conference and competition in Chicago.

They competed against the top journalism students from across the country. Only about ten percent of all contestants placed and several OTHS students came home with awards.

“The Panther Beat staff puts in countless hours every day, working hard every day, so it’s great to see their hard work recognized. I’m very proud of their accomplishments,” said Kristin Strubhart, OTHS Broadcast Coordinator and Panther Beat Adviser.
