Panthers place third in SWC Tournament

EDWARDSVILLE – The O’Fallon Panthers boys tennis team took advantage of their final contest before sectionals began to see the competition, heading up to Edwardsville for the Southwestern Conference Tournament Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13. The team placed third, coming in behind first place Edwardsville and second place Belleville East. Belleville West, Alton, Granite City, Collinsville and East St. Louis taking the fourth through eighth spots.

One doubles team of junior Quincy Dollison and senior Matt Spradling defeated their Collinsville opponents in round one of the doubles flight, but fell to the top-seeded Edwardsville duo in round two. They played against a tough Belleville East team, but were unable to break through, taking fourth place.
