Panthers stand out amongst state crowd

Team Illinois Showcase is an annual event in Chicago that allows many of the best baseball players in Illinois to demonstrate their skills in front of some of the state and nation’s top coaches scouts. Getting one of your players into the Showcase is a great feat.

Apparently great just wasn’t good enough for O’Fallon Township High School Head Coach Jason Portz.

Eight Panther Juniors were invited to Standard Bank Park in Crestwood, Illinois, the home of the Frontier League’s Windy City ThunderBolts. The ThunderBolts routinely play against local Frontier League teams such as the River City Rascals in Missouri and the Gateway Grizzlies in Sauget.
