Panthers take second in Battle of Omaha

South Carolina and Florida have shown up strong so far in Omaha for the College World Series. But the National Championship tournament for the country’s premiere NCAA Division 1 universities wasn’t alone on the city’s baseball stage this past week.

The annual Battle of Omaha, one of the biggest high school age baseball tournaments in the country, again brought some of the top prep teams from around the nation to Nebraska for elite level competition during the lengthy summer offseason.
