Record setting finish for Girls Track at State

4 x 200 team sets a new OTHS record, top 10 record in state

Taliah Reese, an O’Fallon senior, runs the second leg of the 1,600-meter relay at the Illinois High School Association Class 3A State Championships. She helped the Panthers take eighth in the race. The three-class state championships were held at Eastern Illinois University’s O’Brien Field in Charleston. O’Fallon took fourth as a team, scoring 29 points.

CHARLESTON – The O’Fallon Township High School Girls Track team wrapped up a banner year for the program over the weekend, finishing fourth overall at the IHSA Girls Track State Finals at Eastern Illinois University’s O’Brien Field.

The fourth place finish is the program’s best ever result at the State Finals. O’Fallon qualified for the tournament by placing second behind East St. Louis at the Belleville West Sectional on May 12.
