Rheaume wins 2016 Thesis Award of Excellence at EIU

Mark Rheaume, Master of Art in Music at Eastern Illinois University, was the recipient of the 2016 Thesis Award of Excellence for the College of Arts and Humanities.

One thesis from each of the four academic colleges is chosen as the outstanding thesis for that college, and Rheaume’s award-winning thesis was entitled Characteristics of Modern Ballet: The Adoption of Sonic Vocabulary and Textual Treatment in “The Earth without Water”.

Recipients of the College Thesis Awards were recognized during Graduate Exposition week in April, sponsored by the Graduate Student Advisory Council, The Council on Graduate Studies, and The Graduate School.

Rheaume a native of O’Fallon, Illinois is the son of Luke and Martie Rheaume, and married to Sarah Rheaume.
