Ronald Deleno Pendegrass
July 15, 1945 – May 20, 2017
Ron had worked at Gateway Medical Center (formerly St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center) in Granite City for 41 years, providing expertise and assistance as a respiratory therapist, retiring in 2009. He had attended SIUE and was a graduate of Lewis and Clark College. He served in the Army as a medical corpsman in Vietnam and was proud of his service and sacrifice.
Ron was a caring and devoted husband and a wonderful dad and grandfather. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, enjoyed watching the History Channel and John Wayne movies, and was happiest when with his family, close friends, and his pets, Sadie, Bernardo, and Ringer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Augusta, nee Kitchen, Pendegrass; his brother Thomas, and sister Frankie Jo (John) Thompson.
Surviving are his wife Jill, nee Heinemeier, Pendegrass of Shiloh; his daughter Lynn (David) Hoffman of Shiloh; grandson Christopher Hoffman; brother Donald G. (Louise) Pendegrass of Marine, Ill.; dear nieces Jackie Heinemeier, Kathy (Alan) Ratay, and Lori (Wade) Castleton; brother-in-law Jack (Velma) Heinemeier; dear friends Wendy and Pablo Corbella; and several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh, Ill.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at the church, with Rev. Matthew Elie presiding. Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
