O’FALLON – Drivers coming down Frank Scott Parkway on Saturday morning had to share the road with an unusual set of traffic.

Dozens of runners lined the busy road behind Greenmount Plaza during the Joshua’s Great Things 5K and Fun Run, which began in front of Toolen’s Running Start.

Joshua’s Great Things is an organization founded in the memory of Joshua Brown, who was diagnosed with a Desmosplastic Infanitle Ganglioglioma, or a low-grade brain tumor, in 2003 when he was just two months old.

Treatments seemed to keep the tumor’s growth under control until 2012, when the disease returned. Sadly, Joshua lost his fight on June 2, 2013.
