February 12, 1941- July 3, 2017
Sandra “Sandy” Sue Pequegnat, nee Wolfe, born Feb 12, 1941, in Rome, Georgia, and lately an O’Fallon resident, passed away Monday night, July 3, 2017, at Edwardsville Nursing Home, with her family at her side. She was 76.
Sandy’s professional life took many turns, and she worked in the medical and financial fields, as a real estate agent, but her favorite and longest-lasting profession was as a travel agent, allowing her to travel throughout Europe and share her experiences in Mexico and throughout the Caribbean with her family. An avid card player and extremely accomplished life-long artist, she taught her children and her paintings still continue to adorn their homes.
Her real passion, however, was her family. Sandy cared for her aging mother and raised two wonderful children. When they married and began raising their children, she moved throughout the country to be the “doting grandmother” to two separate sets of grandchildren, a role she filled to perfection. Sandy lived in Rochester, MN; Phoenix, AZ; Coral Springs, FL; Monterey, CA; and here locally, in O’Fallon. She helped teach her grandchildren to drive, saw two graduate from high school, and one of those graduate with honors from college.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Ruby, nee Robinson, Wolfe.

The visitation will be a private family event.
