Shiloh Police find body of missing woman

SHILOH – The Shiloh Police Department have located the body of a woman reported missing by the O’Fallon Police Department.

According to a statement released by Shiloh PD, on Friday, January 18, 2019, at approximately 6:32 p.m. it was brought to the attention of the Shiloh Police Department that a person reported missing by the O’Fallon Police Department was possibly last observed in the vicinity of 2411 Lebanon Avenue.

Shiloh Officers arrived and searched a wooded lot in the area. Soon after starting their search, Officers found the body of the deceased missing person, 39-year-old Jill Renee Carroll.

Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene where Carroll was found. Carroll was pronounced deceased by the St. Clair County Coroner’s Office.

There are no obvious signs of foul play and the manner of death is unclear at this time. An autopsy for the deceased is scheduled for Sunday January 20, 2019 at 8 a.m. The Shiloh Police Department continues to investigate this incident.
