O’FALLON – Although Clarice McKay is not new to St. Clare School, she is new to the role of its principal, and she is very excited about it.
Mrs. McKay came to St. Clare last year to serve as the eighth grade homeroom and Religion teacher as well as the seventh and eighth grade English teacher. Having previously served as the principal of St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Smithton for six years, McKay came to St. Clare to revisit her love of teaching, but she instead fell in love with a community and a group of children that inspired her on a daily basis. So, when the opportunity arose for her to return to the role of principal, she knew that she needed St. Clare as much as St. Clare needed her.
