Studio 50 Photography holds ribbon cutting ceremony

O’FALLON – The O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony for Studio 50 Photography, 111 East Second Street, O’Fallon.  The ceremony took place at 5:30 p.m. on June 21, 2016.

“Studio 50 Photography hosted our June Business After Hours and we celebrated the new location with a ribbon cutting as well.  Even more exciting, the owner, Melissa Federhofer, is our Chamber’s Communications and Marketing Manager!” said Chamber Executive Director Debbie Arell-Martinez.

Melissa has an extensive background in graphic design and fine arts, and her passion for photography has followed her throughout high school and college. She has over 10 years of experience as a professional photographer. Studio 50 Photo was formerly Photographique and continues the 50-year tradition of being the exclusive yearbook, sports and dance photographer for OTHS.  The previous owner of Photographique, Sharon Vasquez, continues to work with Melissa at the school, and with day to day operations. In addition to the school, Studio 50 Photo specializes in high school seniors and weddings, as well as offers professional business portraits and product photography.

As a 17 year resident, Melissa knew she wanted to stay in O’Fallon when deciding on a new location, and is excited to be in the heart of downtown. “O’Fallon is such a great town, and after raising four kids here, I knew I wanted to give back in some way. I am proud to have my business in O’Fallon, as a part of our growing community.  She said. “I love that I am now the photographer for the school all four of my kids attended.” She added.  Currently, Melissa works for the Chamber two days a week and is at the studio 3-4 days a week. “Being able to work at the Chamber in conjunction with doing what I love is such a blessing!”
